Live just north of Green Bay .. same thing, bikes don't go on the road until the salt is gone. I add in a few extra prayers to my daily routine mid-March into April asking for a couple of good soaking rains!

Yup, it's going to be brutal. Before it all melts and gets cleaned up I'd say May.

We just shoveled the "roof". Dam stuff was heavy!

Some towns have a pothole "hotline" to notify the DOT of potential road hazards. Dam things are so big.

In Minn where i work, still snow on ground but forecast predictions are for warming trend starting towards end of March, hopeful to have some road time in April.

Until then, i keep riding the better half and wish for warmer days so i can be active in my 2 nd most fun activity. 😄

I am with the wait until the salt and sand is washed off....at least until I do not see salt dust in the air and my truck is not all white. So all we can all do is hope that the melt starts soon......

Across the big lake from you, fortunately the lake is iced over so the lake effect has been turned off. But, we will still have the melting snow and salt to contend with, Waiting on the rains in late march to wash the roads, then the bikes come out.

We're all experienced riders and we all know that riding will come somewhere at the end of April up here... and safer riding will come in May:
- salt and sand in corners;
- potwholes and cracks;
- cagers not use to see bikers after 5 months of winter;
it's the same thing every year... we will again hold our lives in our hands so lets get prepared and have safe rides again this year!

Today in Quebec we got a great warm day (almost 36F) and it's nice to see the melting snow!

I rode mine the other day.

And all of January, and all of December.

I'll ride again when the rain quits....
