Clutch cable rubbing

Supposed to a big spring that wraps around the cable to keep it from doing that.
Don't tie wrap it to the frame unless you want to jack up the cable.
The engine vibrates and it will pull the cable end off at the trans after a year or so. No real damage but it will start leaking trans oil. Been there...

Huh, I'll have to look at mine, I don't remember seeing a spring holding the stock cable down in that area. But it's something to check for sure.
I already have spot on my newly installed clutch cable where it rubbed against something (one of the wire harnesses or maybe the fairing frame) in the fairing and wore through the outer PVC jacket & removed the color from the braiding.....so that was a shitty day. Thankfully it's inside the fairing...
