Default help 2015 SGS check engine+ABS

This is my first post. I bought a 2015 SGS it has 17 miles on it.
Over the winter I installed HHI triple tree, 23" wheel. Trac MAX ABS module for the bigger wheel,10" twin peak aps. Biketronic 2180 amp and 7.1 faring only speakers. I had battery disconnected. I started bike yesterday battery was low and cranked slow. I got it started and check engine light and abs light stayed on. I let it warm up and both lights stayed on. I only rode it around the block and Abs stayed on I thought maybe it need to be driven. is there a way to read codes? can the battery be disconnected to clear? any help would be nice. thanks. I need to goto dealer anyways for radio flash as soon as the weather gets warmer. all controls work on handle bars and i did not cut the drive by wire harness.

The ABS does stay on until you get moving, so if the TMax is working properly, riding it should have turned off the light. I'm not sure if the TMax has some sort of post install procedure to get the computer to reset. ?? As far as the check engine light, some tuners will display codes for you, otherwise the dealer is your option. My FP3 will list codes.

I think I would charge the battery and then see if the trouble continues. Did you have it on a battery tender?

Low battery voltage can cause some strange things.

You need to do a search on here. This is a common problem on the newer bikes when you go to a 23. It has to do with the different wheel ratios messing with the ABS. Here is the thread Drew started...

I have the thunder Max ABS module that compensates for the 23" wheel.

brought the bike over to Harley yesterday. ABS light was on because RC componets put the ABS wheel bearing on the wrong side. last night I pressed them out and switched them. no more light. check engine come on because battery was low.

Glad to hear you worked it out and thanks for letting us know what it was. Lots of folks ask questions on here and then don't come back to update us on the fix...

I guess that is possible but it sound like whomever installed the wheel put it on back wards unless it is a single disc wheel. Regardless, glad to hear you got it worked out. I have a few of the ThunderMax modules here in stock for 21,23, and 26" if anyone needs one. These are only for 2014 and 2015 touring models for those who are not aware. Give me a call if you need one please.
