Default Tour Pack Antenna Question

I'm not near my bike for the next couple of weeks and I want to make an attachment that threads onto the antenna stud. Can anyone tell me what the size and thread pitch the stud on the tour pack is? Thanks.

Never came across this question before. I know several have replace the antenna with off the shelf ones so I don't think they are non standard whatever standard is. My suggestion would be go to a MC dealership or a auto store and see if theu can match it up with one off their shelf.

I'm almost positive I recall seeing that listed here in one of the threads about what to do with the threads after removing the antennas.

I used a rubber cap that I bought at my local AutoZone. They come in multiple sizes and you can just screw them on. If you get the right size, they are very secure and I think they look pretty clean as well. I don't remember the exact cost but it was maybe a couple bucks for 5 or 10 of them so if you lose one or it gets stolen, who cares, just put another one on.

You may prefer a different look, but just giving you another option.

I bought some short aluminum antennas from PepBoys that are 4". They are not functional but they look better than the vacuum caps or the open stud.
