I normally use formula plus for my primary but I have some mobil 1 synthetic 20/50 on hand and I picked up some screaming eagle synthetic blend for $2 a bottle a while back that I was just going to use in my lawnmower. Would either of these be ok or should I just stick to formula plus? Thanks.

You can use the SE syn blend in the primary without any ill effects.

I've used 15w-50 Mobile 1 synthetic in the primary and found it "grabby".
I know it's not the same as you're asking but just putting it out there.

I only use formula+ in the primary now. Just works so well I have not bothered trying anything else...

 

HD F+ used it for years never an issue.

 

The Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 can be used in all 3 holes.

 

put this stuff in and road to Daytona, Worked good so far and highly recommended by a transmission/primary professional

 

I still just use Syn 3 in all 3 holes. Keeps things simple....... for me anyway.
