Default FLHT 2007 not starting

After 200 mile run and several stops and restarts after a 2 hour stop wouldn't start. Turning over well. Spark strong but plugs were dry. lots of fuel. Took out fuel pump assembly. Inlet filter looked clean. test run pump lots of pressure. Put it back together and it started 5 times then it wouldn't.

Do you get any error codes?? Maybe a TMAP sensor?? I'm guessing because you indicated strong spark and fuel was good.

Default codes historic

got codes p0505 loss of idle speed control and after started that had gone and got b1005 fuel levelsending unit high which was probably me disturbing the fuel level float, this also didn't come back after it was canceled.
looked in air inlet at idle sort control which seemed to be operating as described.

Default fps?

don't know what FPS is not where to find it to check.
interesting re quick release at base of tank. I detached fuel pipe from common rail. once just what was in pipe came out then another time it kept flowing and I could have emptied the tank. I guess the flow was syphoning through the pump.

Default try it again

Took the convoluted tube and the bottom connector out to see if it was holed. All seemed ok do put it back, had to remove pump assembly to get hold of tube. Re assembled and when I remembered to connect the fuel pipe back to the tank, bike started and has repeatedly started after short and long intervals.
Not sure what I did that fixed it. Almost need it to fail again so I can focus on the connection to see if that's the cause.
Many thanks for your thoughts.

My 07 had a starting issue. The ground wire going to the frame was not torqued down to spec and it came loose. Tightened it down and never had another starting problem
