I just ordered one as well. Unfortunately he is out of stock until after I get back from Sturgis. I would have loved to have it.

I just squeezed in on the last cutoff date for the cooling fans and the WPW160 oil thermostat.Should be out on this delivery cycle, July6.
I can't wait to get them on, get the oil t-stat in and ride some more this summer.
It's been beastly hot in S.E. Louisiana so far and July,August, Sept. are just around the corner.
I'm going to have to see about getting the heat guard flap for the rear cylinder if needed, after the oil t-stat / fan install.
Me inner thigh is roasting like a goats leg over an open flame.

I'l post back after they're installed, for feedback on the operation, but I have no doubt they'll do as described.
It seems Jason is pretty thorough in his testing, analysis and application.
A virtual R & D Engineering master is the picture I get of him.

4boogie,
I'm about 130 m East of you and I think this would be the cure for your heating problems.

I'd bet they work just as well as with FI. Your TC 88 would probably run a lot cooler than the TC 96 and up's do.

Here's a link to WardsPartsWerks site, check them out.

Hope i didnt already post in this thread that too many pgs to chk out so here go's!

I installed wards cooling fans & an untracool oil cooler with dual elec cooling fans both at the same time on my basically stock 09 flhtcu with 96" motor and those 2 stand along cooling systems with thermostatically controlled elec cooling fans working collectively together reduced oil temp 50+ deg in 90+ deg outside heat and mult improvements were noticed right off the bat.

The oil & motor NOW running significantly cooler resulted in :

* MOTOR NOT DETONATING UNDER LOAD ANYMORE RUNNING THE REC 91 OCTANE FUEL.

* VALVE TRAIN IS QUIETER.

* OIL PRESSURE IMPROVED A LOT BEING APPROX 6-8LBS HIGHER @ HOT IDLE & APPROX 10-12+LBS HIGHER @ HOT CRUISE WHICH WAS A BIG PLUS.

* MOTOR RETAINS MORE PWR/TRQ WHEN IT'S AT ITS NEW 50+ DEG LOWER OIL TEMP WHEN IT USED TO LOOSE NOTICEABLE PWR/TRQ WHEN THE OIL RAN 50+ DEG HOTTER.

* SINCE RUNNING COOLER MOTOR RE-STARTS HOT EASIER WITH SEEMINGLY NO EFFORT AT ALL.

* THE BIKE IS MORE COMFORTABLE TO RIDE ON HOTTER DAYS BECAUSE
THE MOTOR SEEMS TO GIVE OFF LESS HEAT.

Thanks for the report wscott,
those are the same solutions I am looking for.
I have researched the other ways and products to use to accomplish this and these fans and oil t-stat seem to be the best choices at this time.
I may at some point need to get an oil cooler, but I'm going to wait and see.
