Recommendations for half-helmets

Get a fullface helmet. Don't go modular as they don't do well in the chin protection areas. (That's 29% of where the energy will be absorbed.)
If your "friends" give you static for wearing a full face, grab a Louiseville Slugger and give their half helmeted heads a coupla good whacks on the rear edge at the base of their helmets. Watch that helmet slide up and give them zero protection, then, a couple more whacks on the back of their skulls to drive the point "home..."
Tell 'em you're doing them a favor as their lights go out.

I bought a Bell Pit Boss for the trip through Missouri last year , it fit's in my 14 SG saddle bag . I was a little disappointed in the flip down shades though, I got the 1st one replaced as there were distortions in it , the replacement was better but I still see some wavy distortions in my peripheral , a bit of a mushroom head also but vary functional & comfortable.
Next up is an AK-88 .
