Personally, I have been noticing that the missing auxiliary lights, and the Led headlight, make the Streetglide much less visible than the traditional batwing. Wonder if that was a factor?

Hope the rider is OK.
A car lane changed on him which sounds like he was probably beside him or something. The rider was either hit or bailed, bike continued for .3 of a mile (slid?) and hit the guard rail. The car hit the Semi.
Don't think it had much to do with the design of a Streetglide or LED headlights. That bike doesn't look to have LEDs anyway.

I'll see if can find it, but somewhere I read an article about how we perceive distances and that the human brain can better calculated distance and speed of something coming towards them when there are three points of light vs. just one.
At 1st glance the pic makes it look like it slammed into the guard rail. But the driver got tossed off the bike and probably slid to a stop while the bike tumbled down the road and finally balled up on the guard rail which looks pretty much undamaged. So I'm not surprised he's okay. My guess is he dressed for the fall. I've been doing that a lot more lately. I know from experience that it really can make the difference between a trip to the hospital for a long recovery or a walk to the bar to toast an off with a cold one.
