DO you tour?

Trips --- Yes
Weekends --- Yes
Commuter --- No.
I'm fortunate that my commute to work in the morning, is walking downstairs to my home office. 2011 Limited Ultra. I don't even get it out unless I can go 25 or 30 miles or more. Not worth bothering with it, here in Smalltown USA, to take it to the grocery store unless I'm going for a ride anyway.

It is now. my street glide is 20 months old and has 25k on the clock I use it for all of the above.
Business conference in Atlanta in 2 weeks I'm riding the bike out so I can do some sightseeing on the way back, it'll be right at 2,200 miles round trip.

Interesting how flexible the Harley Road Bike line can be.
This is one of the reasons so many people buy Street Glides.
I have added a detachable Tour Pack. For longer trips with G/F it provides the extra storage we need to ride many thousands of miles.
When riding solo, I tend to take the trunk off, and enjoy the stripped down and lowered bagger look.

My very first mode of motorized transportation bought with my own effort and money was a brand-new Kawasaki Z1-B back in '75 when I was young man out on my own while serving in the military. That bike was my everything...from short hops to the PX to longer rides as I explored whatever roads the south had to offer. Nowadays, I have a 100-mile round-trip commute to work ('cuz I stills gots bills to pays!!!) and when time permits, I take the long way to get there and back on my RGS just 'cuz I love riding as much if not even more than I did when I took my very first rides back in '75...and I'm planning a tour of the 4-corners area for next month. I have three cages at my disposal, but 6000 miles on my new RGS since Feb2015
