Default DO you tour?

For those who own a touring model like the Elcectra or Street Glide do you do a lot of long rides? Is it your weekend getaway bike or a daily commuter?

Both, I had the Heritage before the Ultra and it also was a daily commuter and a touring machine. I don't think it matters what machine you have if you want to pack it up and go it will do it, it will be just a matter of comfort after that.

Yep daily ride and touring across the US on my 14 SG. Going to Hershey PA in about a month and then in June riding down to Deming New Mexico both coming from Detroit, Michigan. Should be a good run at both. Last year rode it to Gettysburg Pa and Maggie Valley NC and roads around that area. Was awesome.

I don't know if you were only directing your question to ElectraGlides and Street Glides or if you wanted responses from all touring bike owners. But yes, I tour on my RKC, usually 2 or 3 week-long trips every year plus weekend trips and around town riding. I used to commute on it more, but DC area traffic being what it is, it just isn't that fun, so I usually commute in my car.

I was just using the Electra and Street as examples. Any touring model will do.
