Default Bars for a 2007 Street Glide.

One of my supervisors at work has a 2007 Street Glide and he has been wanting to do a set of handle bars on it. Well we found him a set of 10" bars for it. I have spent the last couple weeks searching to find out what cables and lines we need to get to run these bars on the bike. I have heard that we can use the stock cables and lines but I have not been able to find much literature on this. Can some one let me know if we can in fact use his original cables and lines or if we need to purchase a new set what size do we need?

Thanks in Advance.

LA Choppers claims stock length cables will work.
I have heard this too. You will need to route the harness under the radio.

This is some tech info for "wild ones" wo578 10 inch bars.

** Tech Note: 2014 & Up models do not require longer cables, but may require wire extensions.
** Tech Note: 2008-2013 models will require +4 clutch cable, but may require wire extensions.
** Tech Note: 2007 & Older models will require +4 on all cables & wires.

With 12" on the 07 I went with +6" on everything , routed in stock locations. I would go +4" on 10".

I have heard people say that. I did a set of 10" Yaffe bars on my 07. I probably could have gotten by with not buying cables. But the only way I saw to do it and everything still work right was pulling the clutch cable out and running it in front of the inner fairing. Same with the brake line. So, I got +4 for everything except for the throttle cables. They seem to work fine stock.

I have a 12 SG and went with a plus 4 on my clutch cable and wouldn't want any less. The brake and the wires all worked.

10" LA Choppers twin peaks on '09 SG; +4 clutch cable only (a must), all else were long enough.
