2004 road king
Just bought this bike several weeks ago.. Put new tires on it, installed new 18" ape hangers yesterday. It need a good cleaning up but it runs good and I love it so far. I like the old school look.
Also, what kind of seat is on it? It's comfortable but I'm thinking of having it reworked or replaced. I'm 6'7" with 36" inseam so It sits me too far forward. I kinda sit on the back of it to be comfortable leg wise but it hurts my back and butt. Any way here are a few pics. I'm looking forward to tinkering with it some more

looks like a solo Road King classic seat to me and I'd look at the tall boy seat.

The seat you have, and probably the one you need is on this page.

I'm thinking about getting this seat re worked. I have a 2 up Harley seat that I may try also. Possiblities with this bike are almost endless, def run out of $ before I run out of mods or ideas. Next I think is exhaust, what's on here now is just gutted stock pipes. Any suggestions ? I want loud but also want that good deep throaty sound

Start simple with what you already have, namely the highway pegs. They can be rotated out and forward giving you much more stretch room at least while cruising on the highway. After that you are right, the possibilities are endless and deeper than your pockets. You certainly have a good working platform to start with. Best of luck and keep us posted with mods.

I was in the market for a brand new bike, but I found this one and got a heck of a deal on it so I bought this for my project.. I'm still looking to buy a new one soon though. I love this thing so far. Rides great and only has 19,000 miles.
One question, I've searched on here but I'm still not sure about it. My rear shocks, there's no hose on it and don't know how to put air in them. It looks as if it's missing the fitting. All I see is a small red ring on them. When doing 70-75 on a bump it bottoms out and bumps pretty good when I hit bumps. Any help??

Sweet looking Road King. As far as the rear shocks it sounds like someone removed the plastic air hose line from your shocks. Why I don't know. Air line is cheap from any auto store or im sure Harley can get it for you. That then plugs into the red pinch clamp on the shock then to a T like fitting on the right side of the bike right at the top of the saddle bag by the frame there should be a shredder valve fitting there where you attach the harley air pump. I have an 05 and i put new fresh 10w bel ray oil in my shocks. Pump it to 18-20 psi I weigh 270 it rides great.
