Suggest if you are splicing, use heat shrink tubes to keep things waterproof.

Also, if you ever need to use that same switch for other things, HD makes a Y connector for that plug. I currently have a USB power port connected to that plug to charge my GPS and iPhone on the handlebars.

Great answers from all. Thank you. I will run by the dealer today and see what they have. Now that I know where the plug is, and what it does, I am in great shape.

Great information.
Will have to add some lights and this will be helpful for the future.

FYI, there's a guy on ebay that sells any of these plugs and parts that you may ever need and very reasonable in price and fast delivery.

So this will be the perfect plug......... Perfect, provided I can find the matching plug end. Is this a dealer only part, or is it some universal automotive plug I can get at any NAPA? Please advise. Thanks!
The plug you found, is a 4 wire plug.
Ground
On with ignition
On with acc switch
On with brake

If you want to use the switch on your nacelle, make sure you connect to ground and on with acc switch. Although hooking to On with Brake might be interesting for forward facing lights.
