Default Bagger Apes installed on a Road King?

I have an interest in replacing my stock Road King (2007) handlebars with the 'bagger' style apes (13") as I really like the look and the contour of the bars. All the makers I've checked list these particular bars as direct replacement for touring models with the batwing fairing, with no modification to the fairings. However, they do not list them as fitting the Road Kings. Is the mounting area different? I wouldn't think so, but, if anyone has installed these with success, please let me know. I am looking specifically at the Cyclesmith 13" apes. I would like to retain the ability to use my windshield and thought these would fit the bill.
Thanks
John

While they will fit, some don't like the looks as they have that bend in them offsetting them to the rear to clear the inner fairing. The straight bars offered for Road Kings would look better, although they may not be able to pull back to where you want them.

Roadking69, got any pics?
which brand/height did you go with?
I'm assuming anything that is listed to fit an 07 E Glide or Street Glide would fit.....
Thanks
John

13" Reaper bars on my Road King. I usually ride with a Memphis Shades fairing. No reason any bagger bars won't work. I mostly opted for these bars for the comfort factor. I went with Reaper because they are 32" end to end and less wrist angle/

I have a street slammer riser cover, 3" risers and 13" full 1-1/4" Cyclesmith bars for overall height of 16". The bars are awesome, both in handling and comfort. 16" is the ultimate height for comfort. Having the center width the same as the fork width made a world of difference. I changed out the risers after lifting the tank 3".

They will bolt right an and work perfect. As long as you can get over a bend in the middle of the bars that serves no purpose, you won't have a problem.

John....I've asked that same question. I have an '09 RKC and want or am going to get me either the Yaffe 14" Bagger Monkey bars now that their finally available! But I am also looking at few other brands that make em in 1.5" as well.
I am going to go with bagger bars because down the road I will be adding an aftermarket fairing as well, more than likely next spring on fairing. I don't mind the "bend" in the bars and just a windshield for now...Good luck!
