Best Battery Price

I just installed the ETX30L last night. Although I paid $107 for mine, I am quite satisfied.
I knew my battery was getting weak, it was the original battery from 09. Having built a pretty healthy 107 last year, it was obvious the old battery was not up to the job.
This ETX30L and it's 400 CCA spins that 107 with ease.

You have any issues with battery ? I ordered last Wednesday and finally got it today.
When I pulled out of plastic. the battery is soaked . I had to wipe down entire battery. I never seen a sealed battery so wet.
Trying to decide if I want to put it in my bike.

I know nobody asked, but I just wrote and posted this in another thread about batteries, so I think it would be topical here too.
Whichever lead acid battery you choose the most important thing you can do is slow charge it with a trickle charger for 8 hours or better. Do this before you ever pull current from the battery, this way you'll get at minimum 5 trouble free years out of it. Most battery places will just pour in the acid and distilled water and install it, worst thing you can do. When a battery is freshly prepped or just bought off the shelf it has about 70% current capacity. Slow charging gently brings it up to its full capacity, however if you just drop it into service and promptly start your vehicle it will shorten the new battery's life considerably. Quick charging too for the initial charge will also overheat and torque the plates and chemicals. Unfortunately most people do just this, they go into a store to purchase a battery then immediately install it and ride off only to find the battery lasts only a year or two. Slow charge it first and you will get years of trouble free service, guaranteed.

No, something is wrong, the case should be dry as a bone. It sounds like it leaked electrolyte solution, did you notice a vinegary or acid like smell when you opened it. A sealed lead acid battery is just that, sealed. The sealed cap would blow off if severely overcharged and copious amounts of hydrogen gas were generated. In your case it sounds like it was never properly sealed after the solutions were added.

I hope they take care of you as I read nothing but good reviews about them. Although one reviewer wrote his was soaking wet but that was because the postal service left it outside in the rain. Was the box in decent shape and not damaged?
