This battery is Identical to the Harley OEM battery.. Apperentlly East Penn
mfg makes this battery and the Harley OEM battery and the "Big Crank"
ETX30L battery that many of you are buying from battery mart, I saved
$17.80 over ordering from battery mart.. Battery mart offers free shipping but there price was $109.95.

My only concern was if it was going to be fresh, or was old stock. I recived the battery in 2 days and by the date code it is fresh.

When you hit it near the hundred dollar mark, that's the deal.
I looked beyond the price when I replaced mine recently.
I went with a Duracell (Still an East Penn) from a local Batteries Plus, with a coupon on sale it still came in around $100.
What I also like:
- 2 year warranty, free replacement. Others I looked at were 1 year.
- They keep them in stock, walk in with warranty return, walk out with a new battery.
- They say "You are in the system, no receipt needed for return". (BTW I keep receipts)
- Minimum downtime if it conks for TWO YEARS. How long with a mail order battery? What about shipping?
- At the store, I picked the freshest dated battery they had.
To each their own, YMMV, ride safe!

I got the same battery at High Tech Battery Solutions. It was a fresh battery, shipped immediately, arrived 2 days later and cost $87.12. Free ship. Identical to the HD except for the price and the sticker.

 

How long before shipped ? i ordered lat night,got email at 6:15 this morning shipping label printed . as of 5 pm...USPS. tracking still does not show actually shipped or scanned.

Well i hope things have changed since you wrote this last night! Hopefully the USPS tracking system just wasn't keeping things up to date. I received the shipping e-mail the next day after ordering and was able to pull up the tracking info that afternoon.
