Bought a '12 ultra classic and the fork lock doesn't want to stay locked! I know it is a security problem but how hard is it to fix? I turn control to lock push it down and turn key to lock.. But if you then pull up on the **** it turns and the fork is no longer locked! Thanks for any guidance!

 

Pull the ignition ****, check/realign tumblers and reinstall. See if it fixes the problem. Was it a used bike? Maybe someone pulled the ignition **** for fork maintenance or handlebar swap or something and didn't put it back together properly.

I had the same issue with my 06 Road Glide. After working on it, I found ignition switch had a broken spring inside it. I tried to fix it , but ended up buying a new switch. I hope yours is a cheaper fix.
