My old RK bags would pop open (lost my heated chaps) til I re-tweaked them. Yes you can bend them back into shape. There are/were a couple of u-tube videos out there. Good idea to take the latches off to do it. While you are at it check/replace the springs. Or spend the big bucks for new latches.

 

Followed similar instructions in the video , worked great, never an issue since
