Been going since '05 so the 75th anniversary will also be my 10th anniversary.

 

Leaving Columbus, Ohio on Friday the 31st. Stopping in Peoria, Sioux Falls, and arriving on the 2nd. Staying until Friday, and then heading East. Camping at the Chip again.

 

Riding into the chip Fri July 31,leaving unknown. paid for the whole shpeel so we'll see what happens,be there at least til Wed-Thurs. Should be a blast.

 

I'm going this year. I'm one of the afforenentioned old codgers going for his last hurrah.lol I know I won't be there for the 100th so I better get there for the 75th.

Staying at the Chip so it should be another wild time.

 

I have ZERO plans to get anywhere close to the town of Sturgis while we are in SD. Lol

I know it will be crowded and Sturgis itself will certainly be a zoo. I won't complain about crowds but I will do my darnedest to avoid it it's even possible. Hahaha

 

I've been kicking it around and the other day my wife told me you've wanted to go for years just do it. I can't get away for more than a couple days so I'll probably toss the bike in my pickup and sleep in the back seat.

 

I'll be there. It'll be my first. Looking forward to it!

 

I can see your point. I've been the last 3 years. I'm torn between going and absorbing the festivities or waiting till next year. I'm not getting any younger and the 800 mile day trip keeps getting harder. I may have to do it this year. Who knows what next year may bring.

Father in law who will be 79 at that time wants to go. This might be his last and this will be my first. We'll go the week before and enjoy the ride and the pre-event while avoiding the crowds. He's going to ride from the Vegas area to Colorado and meet up at my place for the night and off we go Monday morning.
