Default Who's going to the Sturgis 75th ?

Saw some guys arguing about who brought the 69th back to life so I thougfht I would start this one. I'm leaving St Louis on the 30th and arriving on the 1st. I'll be taking my toy hauler and camping at Game Lodge in Custer state park. Any one else staying there ? Be leaving the 8th to head home.

I'm arriving early on the 28th or 29th departing on the 5th... My 9th visit to Sturgis

Friends are arriving Friday and Saturday.

Camped at Hog Heaven last year but it is time for another change, perhaps Days End campground

Arriving July 29 leaving Aug 5. Staying in a cabin in Custer, between town and park entrance.

Riding out from Baltimore.

Not me! I'm going to let all the old codgers have their last hurrah and return next year when the crowd will almost certainly be smaller and more manageable.

I'm going just a little early this 14th year to Sturgis. Will arrive Friday evening and leave Monday morning.

Crowds never bothered me. But Sunday night people watching downtown will not be as interesting as later in the week. Darn it!

Riding from Charleston, SC 30 July and arriving the 2nd or 3rd.
Staying at Katmandu camp ground until the 7th and then heading in the Yellowstone direction for a few days then coming home.

This will be my 3rd and probably final time (for awhile anyway) riding it up.
It's like 1800-1900 miles one way. Just burns up so much vacation... Worth it so far.

Default Still deciding on things

I put in for the time off of work, I should have the decision of if I'm approved this coming week. So I can book a campsite. I am looking at staying at Shadyvalley. I will either leave Az on July 29 after I take a nap or the morning of the 30th. My friend and I will be riding, He wants to do an iron butt. I am not so sure about this as I believe weather will dictate our route. It also depends on how long he will have off. I am looking at 2 weeks, while the best he may get to do is 10 days. So he may get to do his Iron butt on the way home.

I plan on going into Sturgis 4-5 days but doing a lot of day rides. I want to see Mt Rushmore, The Crazy Horse monument, Badlands and the minuteman missile museum, plus see devils tower. I may ride back through Montana, since I want to see Glacier Natl. park and ride the going to the sun road.

My friend wants to do some of this and go to Deadwood (damn Pretentious BMW riders!)

Leaving Denver on the 4th and meeting my family at the campground in Spearfish. Spending the 6 days riding and doing all the day-trip attractions. Will probably spend 2 evenings in Sturgis just to soak in the sights.
