Default Radio Interference

Since I've installed my LED headlight (LED bulb into my stock housing), my radio reception has been horrible. I've got the short HD antenna. Everything was fine before I put the LED in. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything I can use to shield the antenna cable?

I have this issue with a Truck Lite LED. I have the HD hidden antenna. Changed to the whip antenna and still had the same problem. Put the stock head light back in and no problem with either antenna. I have an 06 FLHTCi. My friends with newer bikes (2010 and up) don't encounter any problem w/LED lights. Any body with a solution, chime in please. TIA......

Thanks! I will give this a try. I ordered some of the filters from Amazon. They should be here tomorrow. They were $10 shipped next day for 5 of them.

I will report back on how it worked.

I have the LED bulbs but the FM works fine until I turn the key to the run position from Acc. Meaning, lights are on and no problem but as soon as the fuel pump kicks in I just get static.

I found that my local Radio Shack did in fact have the Ferrite Filters in stock. The lady I talked too didn't have a clue.

These are the Ferrite Filters that I got.

They work perfect. I put 2 on the wiring coming out of the LED bulb before it plugged into the bikes harness. I put the 2 of the 3 wires in one and the last one in another. I made loops on all the wires before going into the filter.

On a 2014, putting the switch to ACC position does not automatically turn on the headlight.

On my '08 putting the master switch to the ACC spot turns the headlight and spot lights off. That is how I knew it was the LED headlight and spot lights that was causing the interference.

You link just goes to the Radio Shack website, not a specific item.
