Default Are Toe and Heel Shifter Same?

I'm looking for an extended heel shifter and seem to be running into a lot of extended toe shifters, but only a few described as extended heel shifters. They look to be the same on my bike. Are they the same shifters only flipped and re-positioned on the shaft for toe or heel?

Thanks

One points North and one points South but other than that they're the same.

Same ones. I only use a toe shifter. I carry the other one in my saddlebag as a spare. You just never know.

Yep - lost the rear coming back from Rolling Thunder a few days ago. Stopped at a friend's house for a quick drink of cold water before doing the last 125 miles; wen to heel up into neutral & nothing was there.....

But - he had a spare lever. Threw it in the Tour Pak, bought a new set of shifter pegs the next day & mounted everything up - now it's good to go!

Who uses them? LOL, I've tried to get into the habit, just can't seem to do it, I have 650k miles on other bikes without heel shifter, thinking seriously of removing my heel one, so I can move foot around more on FB......

@ZenGlide: I can't seem to find my order, but I believe I bought this one for mine... it puts the heel shift a bit further back and works well...

Hope that helps and ride safe!

I removed mine do to a large foot that would not fit between the shifter and kept on hitting it by accident.
