I have the CVO bags with stock fender, which is ok, but saving my $$$ for the CVO fender to match up. IMO, it's the best look with keeping it somewhat stock.

I bought the Vtwin bags from eastern for 369. I paid 400 for painting. I went with the CVO size, I was really concerned about the longer bags dragging on corners.
V-Twin CVO bags from Eastern Performance.
These are fantastic bags for the price. Fit was perfect, all holes line up, and very, very little prep to paint.
I think if you run the full extended style bags, you have to run the full extended fender, that matches the length of the bags. The CVO style bags look great with the CVO style fender. IMHO
Ok, anybody with the 5" extended bags have any problems with scraping on turns or backing up to a curb?
Mine are 5" from Fairing Factory, and I've never had a scraping problem on curves. I'm not an aggressive rider either --- never scraped a floorboard either. If you'll notice, these bags are "scalloped" on the bottoms, so I think if I ever scrape one, I'll be having bigger problems than scraped bags. I don't get real close to curbs when I back up to them, so it's not an issue for me.
I have a streetglide rear fender. I look at some of these pics of 4.5 and 5" stretch and more. they don't line up with the stock streetglide fender on the inside. For me. I would want some that at least line up with the curve of the fender, or go with the matching rear fender. Looks way cooler that way.
I agree with most of you. A stretched fender does look better with streched bags. But since I'm on a budget, I have to take a little at a time. But, streched bags do look better than stock bags, even with stock fender.
