They'll fit but there are far better options out there.

Yea I know. Im too cheap though. Found a set dirt cheap and wondering if they would be better than the 412s that I have now. I like the 412s better than the stocks, but am always open to improvements.

Yes and no.

They will FIT just fine, bolt to bolt and all that....

But I advise AGAINST putting them on '08 and earlier models.

The '07 swingarm is not designed for this type of shock, since one side is compression and the other rebound.

And for my money, there aren't many better shocks out there.

I put a 12" set on my step dads 02 ultra. Worked just fine there no reason they would. For the money the premiums are great. I have them on my 13 street glide also.

Until you hit just the right bump in a curve and throw it into death wobble, because the older swingarms are not as rigid.

The 07 has an extremely stout swingarm. The earlier cleveblock swingarms had a problem, not the later versions.

Not as stout as the re-designed '09.

Do what you will, but I would not run them on a pre-09 chassis. It is not strong enough. Period.

you may think it's stout. but apparently the 'engineers' at hd don't agree with you. there's a reason they say fitment is for 09 and newer touring bikes.

It wasn't the swingarm that was the problem. They changed the engine mounting system and went with 4 engine trans mounts from 3 to better locate the assembly and keep it from shifting laterally, although, it's far from perfect. Even those models suffer from some lateral movement. Even they benefit from a bagger brace so there's a more positive link. Since I added a bagger brace to minimize the lateral movement, no more dreaded rear steer caused bagger wobble. Next, however, is the flimsy front fork assembly that was corrected in the 2014 and newer models when they changed from a 41mm fork to a 49mm fork with a clamped upper triple tree. Motorcycle Metal manufactures triple trees that will allow the new 2014 forks with Ohlin's 30mm adjustable cartridges. I have to save more lunch money first. I've ridden the 14's with the premium hand adjustable shocks and they weren't as good as the 13" Works shocks I had on the bike before which are nowhere near as good as the Ohlins I have on the bike now.
