Is this 2011 a Road Glide a good deal for $16k?
#12
I bought a new 2011 Road Glide Ultra in 2011, this was one of my favorite bikes period, 39,000 miles in 3 years, (we have 5-6 months of extreme winter every year). there are times when I wish for it back. Since than I have had a 2014 Limited (12,000 miles) which I traded for a CVO Limited last Sept. 2014, Rushmores are great improvements from 2011, but, there is always one we miss. Ride safe and good luck with your quest.

Deal fell thru!!!
I appreciate all the responses, but sadly the deal fell thru. The owner, or my likely his wife, could not let it go. My bank, their bank, & I worked hard over the last week. Friday, they received the paperwork to sign and their bank was ready to overnight the title upon receipt of the payment. This morning I got a very rude response from the owner's wife saying they were not going to sell it and that they wanted no further contact. They went even as far as to call their bank and forbid them to talk to me. Please also understand that this was the second time I went thru the "We don't want to sell" nonsense. Early in the week, I got a much nicer response saying they had changed their minds. Later that same day I got another response saying they were 100% OK with the sale and congratulated me and said the bike was mine. This has been a very sad & depressing day for me. I have lived the dream of owning this bike for several days. Now it is all gone. This was a sweet deal. The Mustang seat, exhaust, quick detach kit, and light kit on the tour pack was $2500+
Bottom line & lesson learned: Many Harley owners (understandably) have an emotional attachment to their motorcycles. When buying a Harley, make sure the seller does in fact need or want to sell the their motorcycle. Also Cash is King and people's words mean nothing ...at least in this case. And, we all know it is not over until the fat lady sings. In this case, she did sing and she sang loud & clear. But it was a sad song I didn't want to hear.
