Couldn't agree more. Measly 23" front and 18" rear. 4.5" bags and 1" lowered and see, you can see the rear wheel.

I did both the front and rear. I ALWAYS do both. Here is a pic of the front. Even went a step further, and did the calipers, rotors and braided lines.

Both for me also. 21/18. I kind of wish I would have stayed with stock 16" diam in the rear though. I like the lower rear look. As mentioned above, its an attention to detail thing. Plus now that I'm running a 2in1 pipe, you can really see the wheel from the left side.

Any big differences running the 18" in the rear? Also was looking at the fat spoke style of wheel, any negatives running this style compared to a machined wheel?

Rellim 63, what year is your bike? This dictates a lot about tire choice. Let me know and I'll get you an answer.

I have stretched bags and air ride and still did both. You cant see the rear on the left side but you can from the right unless you have a lay frame slammed bike. Its your bike, build it how "you" like.

Both--I hated the spokes. But mine isn't as showy as the other bikes on here! Have fun!
