However, when I bought my scooter, the security code was 11111. 31313 wouldn't have done a thing.

I had a buddy that bought the security system and was bragging that his was more secure than mine. I told him to walk inside and I would have his bike in 3 minutes. He went inside and I pulled his bag, turned the bike on and pulled the main fuse. I then secured the bag and dropped the side cover in the bag and coasted his bike down his inclined driveway.
You have to lock the ignition if you want to make it harder for the criminals.

1. Turn on the ignition...Leave starter button Off...do not start bike.
2. Quickly, Press the left and right turn signal, as if you are turning on emergency flashers.
3. Look at the mileage read out. Should be blinking.
4. Press the left turn signal 3 times for the first number...3.
5. When you get to the number press the Right turn signal once...to switch to the next digit.
6. Repeat step 4...until you get to the next number.
7. Repeat step 5..to switch to the next digit.
8. After you put your numbers in correctly it should churp and you should be able to start the bike.
It takes a little practice...but well worth it.
Not exactly sure now how to change to default code...I'll check my manual if you need it!!!
Hope this works...Sometime when sitting around cleaning the bike and brew...I make sure I can put my code in correctly. Just in case I cannot find the fob.
