Why all the posts of suspension upgrades?

Yeah mainly because of the buy now pay later i.e. credit card market. Whats HD offer now 7+ year financing if you buy through them . I'm good with customizing options but its not in a companies interest to put a second rate product on the market in any aspect. Project Rushmore changed the game for HD thankfully. I don't think people get how awesome these bikes are off the show room floor as is.

Thanks for the entertainment fellas.
With the stock 2001 FXDX suspension's great, only 21,000ks.
The 2009 Road King is about to receive some very low mileage stock air shocks.
It will improve the stockers that have travelled 85,000ks. Front fine with fork oil and seal change.
Yeah I know, boring as batshit. That's how I ride these days.
If personally I could afford upgrades, maybe I would. It is all an improvement, simply different levels.
Carry on, can't wait for the next episode. It's been a fun ride/read.

Yers, well, individual perception and experience/requirements differ.
I rode a 2014 model Rushmore Road King, loved the suspension, vibe free ride and overall comfort.
That convinced me to buy a 2009 three weeks later with 85,000 kilometres. Stock suspension still decent and serviced by competent HD dealer.
Not the same as the Rushmore, but very good.
Can't afford a new one here in Australia.
