Over 15k on my 14 sg and nothing has ever fallen off. Never even loose on the bags. I open my bags weekly to get something out of them gloves rain gear whatever and give the pins a touch just for insurance purposes and peace of mine. Never had one move yet. I'd say it's the installers who aren't locking them in properly.

I've had my bags off around 10 times and after thousands of miles I've haven't had one issue. I'm not saying that some don't fail but I'd imagine there are a number of people and dealerships that don't install them securely.
