Now that is a great idea!! I know my pin code but that would eliminate the trouble.

I wrapped some electrical tape around the pins to make them tighter. No way they would ever turn on their own.

Until you lose your key along with the FOB and can't get into your locked saddlebag to get the spare FOB. When traveling, I have spare key on a chain around my neck.

I'd say it's the installers who aren't locking them in properly.

That was my first thought so I went to Harley Davidson and asked them if they know how to put on bags, but come to fiind out the actual pin and clamp fails. They sent mine off so corporate Harley Davidson can inspect and figure out the problem. I told them this could have killed someone riding behind me.

Here it comes an offer for special bolts that won't let your bags fall off or be stolen.
3 easy payments or 9.99.
Bags will not falloff it attached correctly.
Deer hunting 60 mph bags destroyed bike totaled frame broke, notice the pins still in place.

I've had my bags off around 10 times and after thousands of miles I've haven't had one issue. I'm not saying that some don't fail but I'd imagine there are a number of people and dealerships that don't install them securely.

I've had bags with Dzus fasteners, mine and friends or customers, off, and on, hundreds of times, and hundreds of thousands of miles.

Never seen one fail.

I've had guys that did not put the washers on... but that is not a product failure...

THAT is cranial rectumitis.
