The Baker unit though is in production and is being sold as well.
I have an appt. w/them for this coming Sunday at BH HD.
They should be out here as of yesterday.
Should cost right around $900, which includes the new-er style rotor, Baker Attitude Adjuster as well as the labor and taxes.
Quite pricey to say the least.
How long has yours done it? I ride it with it as it is now because it's my transportation so I don't have a choice. I do worry about when it's finally going to go and strand me somewhere.

Sounds like the Baker kit is a pretty penny, though I don't know that it's much more than the Harley equivalent. Parts for just the SE Compensator+Rotor+Starter clutch+gasket are about $500, plus labor if taken in. If you throw in the Harley adjuster and shop time, it's probably pretty close.

I'm in a debate here. I've had lots of people tell me after they changed their compensator to the SE, they never had a problem again with some going on 50k+ miles.

I bang my head against the wall since I got rid of my 05 Sporty to go to the bagger, and I've had problem after problem with the Glide. Sporty never had a problem I didn't create, lol.

I'm hoping once this is taken care of that this will be the last I have to get into the RG for awhile.

Use plan old JB Weld. It exceeds the specifications of the "adhesive" and cost like 5 bucks. People fix engine blocks and stuff with it. Holds a little plastic thing just fine.

Get your SE Comp here: $336.00

I'm in a rough spot!)
The starter clutch is relatively easy to change. Just 2 bolts holding the starter on. You can get an All ***** for around $70 versus $115 for the HD clutch. Replacing the starter clutch will also keep you from chewing up your ring gear while waiting to get your Comp replaced

Recommend good ole JB Weld instead of the adhesive and caulk gun.
Don't worry about the autotensioner. If you're not presently having problems with it, it should be fine. If you want to pick it up anyway its pn: 39929-06A $94.99.
48 ounces??.....that's to much!
Here's another primary oil thread!!

Well yeah, typo...45 is better. Even better to just fill it to the bottom of the clutch basket.

Find the money for the Baker Comp Unit, and Attitude Adjuster, and never have any doubts about the Compensator ever again. And yes, do the All ***** Starter Clutch while your at it!!

I've got 2500 miles or so on mine now, I really didn't want to spend the extra money, but If I have to replace the SE unit in another 10,000 mile, the Baker just paid for it self.

Could someone link me to where I can buy the Baker kit and get pricing? On their site I only found a page that says it's in development so I am missing something.

And the starter clutch... I see people writing All-something... the second word gets changed to asterisks. What is it? lol

Thanks!

You have to call Baker to order. I believe the price is $399 and tell them your a forum member and they will give you a discount.
