The fact the OP and myself went to the same dealership and it seems he got a better price by 1k, drives me nuts. Maybe it's my trade, not as attractive to resell? Maybe because I came from work dressed business casual on my street bob? I either did something wrong or me walking out today will get me a better offer tomorrow...
Sorry, but I am calling BS on that statement of being to 6 dealers in a hour.. You either missed a 4 in front of hour or stating you called 6 dealers and didn't visit them which will affect your responses as well given you are not physically in front of the salesman wanting to close a deal right then and there.

The closest dealer to Chesapeake is over 27 miles away which would be Lancaster off 741. Baltimore HD is at least 40 minutes because of going over to 95 and then down. Baltimore HD is about 35 minutes from Annapolis. Laugermans is at least 45 minutes from Chesapeake.

6 dealerships within a hour of my house, touring 6 dealerships in one hour I doubt could be done anywhere in the country. But yes, from my house every one of those dealers are "within" a hour ride. And I have been to 5 in person because most won't give a price over email or phone.

But thanks for your insight, so sorry I did not put "of my house" after "within a hour"..... I figured people knew what I meant.

And Rommel New Castle is closer to me than Rommel Annapolis, so you had 5 of the 6...

If you guys are both looking to buy bikes, meet up and go into the dealers together. It's amazing what a difference it can make if the dealer is going to sell two bikes to a couple of riding buddies. It definitely multiplies your buying power. Just a thought...

sorry ,forgot to mention where I was located. I bought mine in Beaumont, Texas.
Shopped 3 dealers in Houston and 3 in Louisiana. The key to my deal was I was not in
a hurry. I shopped for 3 months , the deals are out there. just don't get in a hurry.

ok I just purchased my first Harley today in Florida after months of researching and waiting. Dealer is getting in 2016 models so they are finally giving some discounts off the 2015 msrp sticker but my dealer would not take off any of the prep/fees. now is a great time to buy but hurry your favorite color may not be left.

2015 Street glide special MSRP 22,899 Dealer cost 18,319

http://www.seedealercost.com/product...ug/powersports

My deal breakdown

New Bike 2015 SGS 18,300 (dealer cost 18,319)
Dealer Prep 649
Freight 435
Admin Doc fee 319
Tag/Title 130
Other tire fees,etc 18.50

Bike total not counting tax 19,851
got a 100 dollar gift card 100

Paid 19,751 not counting taxes which varies by county.

I paid taxes separately (1300 ish) 6.5% in my county in Florida.

and got a free HD t-shirt

Would you guys consider this good, ok or could I have done better.

Thanks,
