2001 Ultra Classic Rt Side Muffler bluing
Oops I accidently posted in the rushmore section so reposting here, admin please delete that post..thanks.
Hi all, fairly new to Harleys as I have owned metric (V-Max and ZX-11) bikes in the past. I have a 2001 FLHTCUI and love it. I has V&H tapered slash cut slip-ons that sound great; not too loud but nice dull roar.
To my question, the right side muffler is bluing and getting progressively worse where as the left side is not and the right side always feels hotter than the left. It appears that it is a dual exhaust but am thinking it not. I believe it is stock headers. Is this normal?
Does this tell me it needs some tuning?
From the searches I have done it seems that the input is all over the map from "it is completely normal and live with it" to "too rich" or "too lean".
I put some elbow grease into it last weekend with Blue Job that worked pretty good but I didn't the whole thing yet and not sure how long that will last.
thanks in advance
