I did note that the engine light was on when it did that.
Just cleaned the conacts and added dielectric grease to the terminals. They were clean and dry. Guess we will see what happens

It's not that the pins are dirty. The pins will vibrate inside the terminal causing fretting which causes the loss of connection.

They are good and tight. No wiggle inside the plugs and I do not see any damage on the wires.

May be limp mode, if to hot. Shuts down until cools down, happened to me in traffic jam. After long wait, started up and was ok

I did disable the parade mode. Waiting to see if that cures its ill. Not sure if it will, as its an intermediate problem. It did it at random and maybe I can reproduce it. Wish it were like a flat tire, then you can fix it and move on not have to wonder "is it fixed"? "Was the the problem"? "maybe"? Hate those kind

Well that didnt work, did it twice to me since. I talked to one of the mechanics at Indy HD and he said it sounds like the ecm needs reprogramed (maped). Afraid to find out what that wll cost.. Anyway, if thats the culprit, would replacing with a thunder max take care of it? I realize it will require dyno and maped.

Doubt it is the ECM... but it does sound like "Limp Mode". A couple things will set that off.

Look up posts on the early 08 fuel pump filter housing issue. Low fuel pressure will do this.

Also look for any error codes, although low fuel pressure will not pop a code.

Could also just be a faulty Throttle Grip Sensor which will show a code...

Thank you. I have bookmarked the page.
This moring I got it into Brandts HD in Wabash. They pulled the codes and found that under the left cover some terminals were damaged and said they needed replaced. I had to set an appointment time for the third of next month at 9am.
They said this would cause all my issues including cruise control not holding speed.... Ok. Well we will see.

Really? 16 days from now? Is there some sort of bike rally in town so they are booked solid or is it your schedule? Just seems to be a long time to wait to have it fixed.

They are booked for the next few days. I have to wait till the 3rd anyway to get some money in to pay for it. Sorry if my last post was misleading on time frame.
