Had some bad storms in the Black Hills day before yesterday. Hill City had 3.5 inch hail. The picture below is in Custer. Yes that is hail.

 

that happened to us last year. they got the snow plow to clean it off. its crazy how the weather changes there

 

Last time I rode there from Denver I felt like a drowned rat. Id take rain over hail any day

 

escalade6103, were you in our group that was trapped on the way to Deadwood last year in the little bar just before the schit hit the fan and they called out the snowplows?

 

Deadwood gets terrible hail. My brother got his fender dented in 2012 in Deadwood from a hail storm. I'm not a weatherman so I don't know why when its 90 degrees you can get hail too, but it happens all over out there.

 

Gotta love Sturgis weather. We were there for the baseball sized hell in 2010 and a similar storm in 2011 before the rally started. In 2010 there were some beat up motorcycles, cars and trucks. Our hauler still has the dings on the side of it from that storm. 2011 we woke up two mornings of sub 30 degree temps. Have to pack for all kinds of weather when going out there
