As for shock height. I went from a 11" progressive to these ohlins and they sit just a tad higher. There is no clearance issues. As far as 2 up you just have to adjust the preload collar. Lots of times my wife will jump on for a ride without any extra adjustment when they are set up for solo. I would say they will sit at a very similar height to your 11.5" shocks. If we were to go on a long trip then I would re adjust the shocks for 2 up but I have not seen any reason to adjust yet.

I installed these shocks after only 500 miles. The stock premium adjustable shocks rode very hard even over the slightest road imperfections...and in New York there's a lot. I ride mostly solo, but the adjustment to increase the spring rate is easy. A lot depends on weight. I ride with a buddy who is about 235lbs and has a 2015 RGS. He doesn't mind the factory shocks. I'm 210lbs. I got mine through Howard...very helpful.

I have the 2.5's, which is the #6 without the separate reservoir, but are adjustable as well as having a longer stroke than the #2 or 3's. Best upgrade I ever made! Do your homework by reading all of Howards info on his web site and your experience with him will be educational and rewarding should you choose his shocks.
