Default Loss of power in heat

30+c. and my 03 FLHT shut down. No electrical at all. After parking in the shade for awhile it starts and runs smooth. On the hwy, no problem, only in traffic. Where do I start?

It may sound unreasonable or funny, but try to add to fuel Marvels Miracle Oil. You can buy it at any automotive parts store. I usually use double of recommended dose and very satisfied with the results. Bike runs smoother, cooler and more powerful, especially in the heat.

I like Marvel MYSTERY oil....

But that isn't going to help with an electrical problem.

Just sayin'

Start with the circuit breaker under the seat. Just replace it. Willing to bet that cures your ills.

Just google Harley 40 amp breaker recall and Harley maxi fuse upgrade. I bet you will find the answer to your problem.

I agree with the replacement of the circuit break fuse under the seat. High heat during the summer will make it trip. Any local auto parts will have one.

I'd agree about the breaker, but, how is the battery? How old is it?
Is it up to snuff?
