Default Ultra 28 Knuckle wheels

I ask this question on the Tire and Wheel section 1st with no answers or complements. I just replaced my wheels off my 2011 Ultra Classic, I checked with all the used part people I deal with to gauge the interest in them. I found everyone had 1 or more sets in stock. I know they not the most popular wheel Harley ever came out with but are they worth trying to sell or should I just throw them on my metal pile to sell for scrap?

Maybe $150 if you are lucky, most people want the Chrome and black ones from the Limited

Why not just put them on craigslist and try to sell them. The chrome versions sell quick. Offer them cheap and let them go. There's always that one guy who was dropped on his head as a baby, who now wants to replace his beautiful chrome spokes with the maintenance free mags. And he will ****** them up if the price is right.

Why not many people like the 28 spoke wheels. First they are 100% a pain in the **** to clean and when they are clean they don't look much better than they dirty.

The contrast chrome knuckles do look better but the problem is they are only partially chrome, salt and debris will get under the edges of the chrome and sooner or later the chrome will start peeling or bubbling, And of course there still a pita to clean.

The full chrome are the best looking of the bunch but as stated a pita to clean.

I have been looking for new wheels to replace my knuckles, But My general rule is anything I put on the bike has to do something to enhance performance or comfort. Since a new set of wheels doesn't make it ride better or preform better the only excuse I can come up with is it will make it easier to clean. 8~)

I picked up a set for 35 bucks figuring to make a few bucks, BIG MISTAKE !! Good thing they had the rear pulley with them as I was able to sell that and break even.

Wenol and a Mother's wheel will have them looking f'king good.

Takes a bit of elbow grease, however... something lacking these days.

This is a set I cleaned up a couple years ago... they had 15k miles on them.
