Default What year is the best year

So here in the next 4 months or so I plan on getting a Street glide. Hoping that with the 2016's coming out soon the 2014's will be reduced considerably. But just wondering what everyone's opinion is on what the best year street glides. If not a 14 thinking about getting an 09 or newer for sure.

The best year is the one you buy!

I've been happy with my '04, '10, '11 and '13. They've all been the best for one reason or another.

But stick with the '09-up frame.

I recently traded my 2012 103 RK for a 2015 103 RK. There's a HUGE difference between the two bikes. Biggest improvement, the linked ABS brakes. More low end torque, improved ride, saddlebags + tourpak a dream to open/close, + wheels MUCH easier to clean. If you can get a deal on a '14 + up go for it. Otherwise, I think you're on the right track thinkin '09 + up.

But why would I buy a stereo from Harley? Aftermarket stereo manufacturers have much better units.

And you do know that the stereo is likely the LAST thing to fail, right? When was the last time a modern stereo failed on you that wasn't "button or ****" related? I've never seen it and I have swapped lots of stereos, usually because the owner wants bigger and better.

+1 13 is the last year that a home mechanic has a chance of troubleshooting. CANBUS wiring requires a diagnostic computer to troubleshoot, ohm meter and a test light won't help. And how many recalls on the 14 up now? But if you don't work on your own stuff anyway this may not bother you.
