Angry 2015 Ultra Limited saddlebag problem

Washing the new bike today, took my bags off, and behold, the saddlebag support only on the right side wearing the paint off on the inside edge of bag.

Anyone else seen this? Tried adjustment only on the lower arm, nothing helps. Pics are attached.

Starting to assume warranty issue.

There is a recall from Harley on saddlebags possibly coming off, could be causing your problem. They did just my '15 RK and the bil '15 UL.

That only affects the socket where your saddlebag fasteners hook in to. Had the recall on mine done too. It unfortunately doesn't change the spacing between the bike and bag. Thanks!

Just checked mine and although that space is much narrower on the right side there is no rubbing on the saddlebag. Could the wear be from when you put on and remove the saddlebag?

How many times have the bags been removed? You have to be careful as the above poster said. Remember these bikes are only new once.

My 14 Street glide has the same issue, except it is on the left side.If you remove the bag and slack off that bolt shown in your pic,you can raise the support a bit and that may reduce the chaffing.I did it and put a piece of heavy 3m protective film on the chaffing spot.I think it is caused by the bag leaning in too far at the top, which could be cured by putting a spacer between the bag and the locking mechanism where the Duze fastener goes through the bag.But I ain't gonna do it or recommend it,with all the bags falling off lately.

Just checked mine.... '15 Limited Low. The right side has just, maybe a 1/16" nick in the paint after 7000 miles. I put a strip of electrical tape over it.

I'll be watching it, thanks.

My wife and I both have 2015 RK's. Her's is rubbing in that location on the right side, mine has not made any contact but there is not much clearance.

I did as a previous poster mentioned, loosened up all the rear bracket bolts and pushed the outer part of the bracket up as much as possible. It is away from the rub spot, but it is still very close.

Thanks all for the input. My saddlebag support got replaced by the dealer which resolved the no-gap problem.
