Default 2006 Road Glide Windshield

Will a stock (take off) windshield from a 2014 Road Glide fit my 2006?

Thanks for reading.

Harley did not make a 2014 RG. The last of the old model fairings was 2013. I am not sure the 1st year of "old fairing" but an 06 and 13 will use the same shield. The 2015 RG is completely different. It has a center air scoop that is the give away.

Hope this helps.

Wow, I feel totally stupid right now. I knew there wasn't a 2014 RG but just messed that up. I should have said, will the 2013 fit the 2006?

(Officially getting old.... )

to further expound on that, the road glide has been using the same outer fairing since 1998 (until they changed it in 2014 of course).

you aren't looking for the stock toenail windshield are you? that thing is just about worthless.

Hey Scratch, no. I have the Clock Werx on it. To me, it's worthless over about 50mph. A friend gave me his, guessing, 14" stock take off shield. I'm gonna try it. It came off his 2013. He is about 6'2" and I'm 5'9" so I'm hoping what didn't work for him will work for me.
BTW, he went with the Clearview Shield with vent and loves it. I just don't want to drop $300 until I try more options.

Blessings, Rob

Having been through 4 different makes of shields myself the two designs that have had the best protection mixed with good looks are Windvest and Freedom Shields. Now that I have a Freedom on my wife's RG and Windvest on my mine I believe the Freedom to be better overall...slightly better styling, thicker, more polished on edges/fit and finish. They are both under $200 and have great return policies. Good luck.
