Default Gauge Moisture Fogging Repair

Hey Folks,

So I've been lucky up till now on my 2010 Street Glide Gauges but in the last year my speedo and tach has started the fogging moisture issue and now I'm seeing the infamous glass staining. Anyone have any long term luck with one of the gauge repair services out there? Is there a forum sponsor that makes these types of repairs? In the past I've just replaced the gauges with Dakota Digitals but in this case I really like the silver analog gauges on this bike

Back quite some time ago there was a thread on taking the gauges apart and resealing them after a through cleaning. It looked to me to quite an undertaking as there wasn't a "tool" for removing or re-installing the ring that retained the glass in the gauge.

Hey Larry, I remember the thread. I'll do about anything on the bike but I know where my limitations lie. I have heard there are folks who do a fine job of taking them apart and correcting issues while changing led color etc. Just wondering who, and if the long term is successful.

I'll keep my eyes open and if I run across someone I'll "flag" you. As far as long term, I wouldn't think that a repair would last any longer than the OEM ... My 1992 did it and my 2009 started "fogging" just after it ran out of warranty :>(

Although I don't like the fogging, I could live with it but not the glass staining associated with long term fogging.

There is a guy in Michigan , business name is gauge mods, changes colors of L.E.D.s , and can clean your glass, and re-seal them. He is a forum member, and he has www.gaugemodz.com
He can turn gauges around pretty quick.

Thanks Much, I'm going to touch base with him. I like trying to use Forum Sponsors as much as possible as well

Gaugemodz changed my gauges to red, he is easy to deal with and a pretty quick turnaround. I'd use him again. [EDIT] I was mistaken about who did my gauges. It was Harley Gauge Mods, he's on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/harleygaugemods?fref=ts
