Fork stem bearings
I have a 2004 roadglide. Just tore the whole thing down so I can get the frame powdercoated.
Im trying to remove the bearings on the bottom half of the tree.
What have you guys used? certain tools, homemade tools, HD tools?
I have no prob buying the right tool. Im sure I will most likely use it only once but that's ok. I don't mind having tools.
I found a few sites that sell tools to remove and install the races in the neck. Any certain ones work better than others?

I think you invert the tree, heat the race and it'll fall off. After you pack and replace them it'll take a half tube (or about 90 strokes) of high temp tacky grease to get lube to the upper bearing. I didn't have to replace my bearings when I changed my upper triple tree.

Clam shell type puller or you may have some joy driving a chisel around it a few times.

Cant get that style puller in there. You have to heat it up, it's in the manual.
