The Dreaded fuel tank check valve leak
I noticed a very slight fuel leak last night at the quick disconnect on my 2002 CVO Road King, and for sure the lower "O" ring was coming apart. The upper one isn't looking too good either, so want to replace both of them.
I found the dimensions for the lower "O" ring, but nothing mentioned anywhere about what size the upper "O" ring is?
Anyone have the size or a part number for it?.......tks in advance....Cliff

Here is the link to a web based parts finder for Harley. This should help you find what you need.

I have a 2002 also and replaced mine in 2013. The dash 103 o-ring is the outer/lower o-ring, and the upper/way-up-in-there o-ring is a dash 109 (under the poppet valve). I found them in the o-ring drawer at Advance Auto Parts. So far, so good since 2013. There are also threads with the John Deere part number.

Thanks for the link, go info. I have he parts headed my way. I found the lower "O" ring at the John Deere store, but couldn't find the upper one, so the bike is down till it comes in.
BTW, I tried to start the bike just to move it out of the way with just the lower "O" ring in place and the check valve/spring were not installed, and it would not fire. So I'm down till the upper "O" ring comes in and I can get the valve rebuilt.....Cliff

Min went a few months back, I just bought a new quick connect. Had to call a few dealers until I found one that had it in stock. It comes assembled with a new fuel line that is the correct length so it won't rub inside the tank.
If your in a hurry, you can probably find one in stock somewhere.
