I was surfing the HD website and ran across this photo of a street glide and the color isn't in the paint and wheel section. Upon calling Harley the customer service person said she just was talking to the other reps about this new color. It appears to be purple chrome with orange pinstripe which she said is called "Purple Fire". She informed me that if I wanted the color I would need to talk to the dealer about getting it.

 

And You want a purple bike with an orange pinstripe? Really?

 

I just put this out there in case somebody was interested. I was surprised that they had a photo of a bike/color but not the option to select it. It makes you wonder if they have even more colors that are not out there on the site for this or other bikes.

 

Not the first time the website "action" shots showed unavailable colors. Sometimes the international bikes have different choices than domestic (colors available on different models than here). A few years ago, the website had several pics of an ultra in a paint that only available overseas.

 

Yeah I got that but this one is there and available to the US but the website doesn't let you select it.

 

The pic you posted is of the Velocity Red Sunglo SGS with some picture editing done to it. Purple Fire is much more purple - like Barney the Dinosaur.

 

This picture is on Harley's website for the Street Glide Special under photos.

 

I know. Look at the two just after it, different angle same bike. Velocity Red Sunglo.

 

You do realize I called the motor company and asked about the picture and they were the ones who verified what it is. (In my first post)

Go to website and look at Ultra Limited - Purple Fire is a choice - it looks nothing like these photos.
