And as for your continual attempts to call out my demeanor, I will simply say F.U. go be passively aggressive to someone else somewhere else, not here. Ahole
Guess you're not getting it. I'm wasn't trying to bait you or **** you off. I'm actually looking for info. I'm wondering how/why it wasn't done before is all - and again the question wasn't for you, it was to open discussion - for everyone. I only quoted you because you brought up "how" it was done. You made it seem easy. Might be.
Anyway, 8 years later this is suddenly released (and I think it's cool) and it just got me wondering. I guess if HD had released this years ago they wouldn't have made millions on CVO's and expensive upgrade kits or full engines or something.

Thanks for the many responses. All cleared up now. I'm all put in my place and stuff. And F.U too you friggin Narcissist.

Also, by changing gear ratios, will that raise my rpms? I already see 3k rpm at 80ish mph down the highway. Kills my fuel mileage on my commutes. now open highway cruising, I run about 2500 rpm which is 70ish mph. That nets me low 40's mpg, instead of 36 around town/commuting.
RPM will raise. It is NOT the rpms that lower the fuel mileage at 80 mph, it is the fact that you have to twist the throttle more to overcome the increased wind resistance at 80mph. You actually may see an increase in mpg at 80 mph with slightly higher rpms(about 90 more at 60ish mph) at 80mph due to the increased tq at the higher rpm's at that mph. HD changed the crappy gearing the 07's and 08's were cursed with in the 09 and up models by using the 68t rear belt pulley.
