Ran across the FI2000 Powrpro on ebay for $299. Is this a deal? Seems cheaper than I have seen anywhere.

Thanks for any comments. I thought about ordering one but not sure if they have update them or what. I don't see any way to update the firmware on this tuner. Is that right?

 

I had one of those on my 2012 flhtk and got rid of it in favor of a power vision from fuel moto. Yes it costs more but there is more that you can do with it. Plus it does not need to always be connected to the bike.

 

I just bought one last week for my road glide for $459, that is new. i guess at 299 you're looking at a used one, it seems like a decent price since retail is 599.
I have just been using it for a week and the bike runs smoother, throttle response is great, and it seems to be running cooler... it does what a tuner should be doing. But did it really improve the power as much as another tuner with dyno.. That I can't tell you...

 

Is the firmware upgradable on the FI2000. I don't see where it is somImam wondering how the software gets upgraded if needed. Do you have to send it back to cobra?

 

Just installed mine (fi2000) today and went for a spin just now. Smoother is definitely how I'd describe the performance. I've had a 204 installed this year too and when you get on the cam at about 2800 rpm you certainly notice it. I can't really tell if the fi2000 is adding something to performance per se at this point. On a warmer day, I'll get out on the slab and see what she pulls like when I hit 6th at about 75 mph.
