Default Load Equilizer?

Just picked up a 2016 Street Glide Special. I switched out the rear turn signals with LEDs. They work but now my blinker indicator flashes faster than normal. Do I need a load equilizer? I read somewhere that the 2014's and up don't need one.

Same thing happened to me. Put a load equalizer on and everything back to normal.

Its flashing fast because the ECM thinks the bulbs are burned out. Try running the emergency flashers for 30-60 seconds. The ECM should "learn" that there really are bulbs there.

I thought the newer models didn't require a load equalizer for LED signals?

They don't and anyone that try's selling you one is selling you a ..........well, a load. Only time you need any sort of module is to get multi pattern flashes - otherwise, as mentioned all you need to do is run the 4 way flashers for a bit and it will correct itself.

You do NOT need an equalizer. Turn your 4ways on for about 20 to 30 seconds turn them off the ECM will reset and it will work normal. Just did that yesterday.

That worked. Now the signals are running fine.

Will this work for a 2010 Street Glide? Also, what are the best LED bulbs to use? I am looking to switch out to a the LED's in both front and back but don't want to have to install a load equalizer or have bulbs that blow quick or aren't as good as the regular incandescent bulbs.
