Default 1999 ultra classic

I have a 1999 ultra that sat for
1 1/2 years, now no fuel to injectors.
Drained old fuel and replaced. When the ignition is activated the fuel pump does Not make noise , but when ignition is switched off is powers down
( audible sound).
Any guidance would be appreciated,as well as recommendation for parts purchase.
I'm not impressed with eastern Harley in riverhead.
Thanks Montaukharley

sounds like you'll have to open the tank and check for gunk in the tank from the old gas- also inspect and possibly replace the fuel pump and fuel lines.

no big deal, just messy

your Magnetti-Marrelli EFI system was used 1995~2001 and can be converted to carb for $600~$1000 depending on the DIY. ( some riders like this system- many of us think it is crap)
Most dealers are hesitant to work on older bikes- they hire kids who don;t have a knowledge base or experience with anything built before they were 15 years old....and good techs don;t stick around for 9.53 an hour at a dealer.
I'm sure there are independent shops in your area

welcome to the forums

We now know two things for sure.Your going to have to pull your fuel pump for inspection and you don't care for the local Harley dealer.Good luck with your repairs.

I know it sounds stupid, but verify you have your handlebar switch flipped to "Run." A couple times in the past I couldn't figure out why the fuel pump wasn't running when turning on the ignition until I discovered the run switch was off.

I have a 2000 Ultra that has the MM efi and put a Dobeck TFI on it to trim it similar to a carb. When dialed in, it runs great. I gave a call to them and told them my setup including exhaust and they gave the setting and she pulls nice. Of course this will be after you get her to fire up, but a way to give the MM setup a way to dial in.

Thanks for the tip on the run switch,I did cycle it several times.
Has anyone used the aftermarket fuel pumps ,or is the HD pump the way to go?
Thanks

Try switching the fuel pump relay under the seat with another one.
I have a fuel pump I bought on ebay. It fit with no modifications, works fine. You can get a lot of the in tank parts from Drag Specialties.
