Default 13 year old tires

I just picked up a 2002 Road King with about 2500 miles on the bike, and the original tires. The original owner stored the bike on a plywood sheet, which may prevent dry rot, and the tires do look OK.

Is this way beyond the tires expiration date? The cheapskate in me makes me want to wear these tires out.

whew... I'd say you are pinching that penny a little tight brother.

the upshot is, if you do get a blow out... you may ask God for a 2020 model at the pearly gates.

even if they look good,u dont know what the inside looks like. and they will either be really hard with little traction or even so soft they will wear out fast.

You can keep using them, just don't go over 10 MPH...Oh, and wear full gear just in case.
